CAN Health Network and Mohawk Medbuy help unlock growth for Luxsonic Healthcare – a homegrown, AI-powered, software company

Oakville, ON – [June 26, 2026] – As the result of a strategic collaboration between the CAN Health Network (CAN Health) and Mohawk Medbuy Corporation (MMC), it is now easier for hospitals in Canada to adopt leading homegrown technology.

Building on CAN Health’s recently expanded partnership with Mohawk Medbuy, the collaboration allows high-potential Canadian innovators to more efficiently scale within Canada’s health system. Through MMC’s industry-leading Innovation LaunchPad program, validated solutions can now be more easily discovered, evaluated, and adopted by hospitals and health organizations across the country, significantly reducing traditional barriers to adoption.

Driving innovation from validation to scale

By connecting CAN Health’s integrated national network and validation model with MMC’s national membership, the partnership helps remove barriers that can slow the adoption of proven technologies across the country.

One of the recent companies to benefit from this partnership is Luxsonic Healthcare – a Canadian software company specializing in radiology workflow solutions. Its Enterprise Imaging platform uses zero-footprint web, extended reality (XR) and AI solutions to enable clinicians to securely access, review and collaborate on medical imaging from virtually anywhere, supporting more flexible and timely care delivery.

Luxsonic’s inclusion follows an ongoing and impactful CAN Health commercialization project with Saskatchewan’s Virtual Health Hub, where the technology demonstrated its ability to improve access to diagnostic imaging in rural, remote and Indigenous communities. By providing the infrastructure to enable radiologists and specialists to review imaging studies without being physically tied to hospital workstations, the platform helps address staffing shortages, reduce turnaround times, and expand access to expert care.

Luxsonic supports hospitals and health systems through enhanced clinical collaboration across sites, improved efficiency in radiology workflows, and greater resilience in service delivery, particularly in underserved regions. The platform’s ability to integrate with existing imaging systems, or replace them, and support secure, remote access also aligns with the growing demand for digital, distributed models of care.

A collaborative model for the future of care

This partnership underscores a broader shift in Canada’s health innovation strategy – one that prioritizes collaboration, domestic innovation, and equitable access to care. By aligning validation with a trusted procurement infrastructure, the partnership ensures that proven technologies like Luxsonic can scale more rapidly across regions, benefiting patients and providers, and helping to build a more resilient, self-sufficient health care system.

Quotes:

“This is about building a better, more self-sufficient health system and a stronger economy. Canada is home to world-class health technology companies, but too often they struggle to scale right here at home. This collaboration with Mohawk Medbuy and Luxsonic helps create a clearer, faster pathway for health operators to adopt the best technology.”
– Dante Morra, Founder & CEO, CAN Health Network

Through our partnership with CAN Health Network, we’re accelerating the real-world evaluation and adoption of Canadian-made solutions like Luxsonic with our growing national Membership – streamlining access to innovations that can help strengthen care delivery.”
– Tony DiEmanuele, President & CEO, Mohawk Medbuy

“Canada has the talent and technology to lead in digital health, it’s adoption that has been the bottleneck. This partnership represents a critical step in moving from validation to real-world impact. At Luxsonic, we’ve demonstrated how our platform expands access to imaging and supports clinicians working across distributed environments. Through CAN Health and Mohawk Medbuy, we now have a clear pathway to bring these capabilities to more hospitals across Canada. This will help health systems adopt innovative solutions faster while improving care for patients, especially in underserved communities.
– Mike Wesolowski, Founder & CEO, Luxsonic Healthcare.
