Dr. Mike Wesolowski, PhD is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Luxsonic Technologies. Luxsonic develops immersive software that improves global access to hands-on medical education, professional training, and healthcare delivery. Mike is an avid proponent of immersive technologies, like virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR). He champions immersive tech as a speaker at international conferences, serves on several committees of the VR/AR Association, and is working with other tech leaders to form the FDA collaborative community on medical extended reality.
In addition to leading Luxsonic, he is also a multidisciplinary scientist and enthusiastic mentor. Mike received his PhD in Physics from the University of Waterloo and holds an Adjunct Professorship in Medical Imaging at the University of Saskatchewan. He has co-authored over 35 academic publications in fields ranging from astrophysics to nanotechnology to radiology. His most recent research has focused on the development, evaluation, and integration of innovative technologies in medical imaging.
Mike firmly believes that innovation, applied with the intent of bettering humanity, can be a dramatic force of positive change in society. This belief has guided him throughout his career and ultimately led to the creation of Luxsonic.
